As a metal writer and podcaster, I find it VERY hard to believe that this guy spent 10 minutes giving this totally mediocre review! WTF?!? I’m almost curious to hear what metal album he really likes, but his awkwardness is so off-putting. We proudly put you guys at #9 in our “Best of 2013″ episode, coming to iTunes as a free download soon!

This reviewer just doesn’t know good music even if it bit him on his ass.

Why does everyone think that every record has to sound like a damn pop production? Quality of songwriting trumps quality of recording every time. As a MUSIC REVIEWER and not an AUDIO ENGINEER I would have expected him to talk about the music more, rather than spending the first half discussing how the drum kit doesn’t sound like an over processed, sampled, clicky mess, which he believes is a bad thing. I get the feeling that this chap is not that familiar with this genre. He even said he wasn’t in the mood for it to begin with! This is a damn heavy album and the production is exactly what I expect doom metal to sound like.
